I am working for the Academy for Educational Development (AED) as Coordinator of the Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance (GSTA). The GSTA is a USAID funded program being implemented by the AED Center for Environmental Strategies in partnership with tourism-related institutions, of which CI is an implementing partner. The twin goals of the Alliance are to : support sustainable tourism development in emerging economies, fragile states, and post-conflict and high biodiversity countries ; and provide USAID Missions, partners, and practitioners with a process to identify, assess, and assist target countries and destinations to develop an integrated approach to sustainable tourism development.
