Dina Bauer
Dina Bauer is a geographer (specialized in tourism planning and development) and is working as a tourism consultant in the International Cooperation, is based in the moment in Costa Rica in the NGO ACEPESA and working for local and regional community based tourism projects in Costa Rica and Central America. Her main activities are advising ACEPESA and the local and regional tourism projects in sustainability aspects, commercialization and marketing. She is giving technical assistance and workshops in the communities for the improvement of the sustainable tourism offer and its commercialization, as well as elaborating training plans, doing market studies, elaborating marketing-concepts and promoting commercial contacts. Besides Central America she has worked in this context in South America. In Germany she has worked as a consulter and operator in a travel agency, specialized in the marketing of an EU-sponsored project of Rural Tourism of the Canary Islands, and has worked as a free consulter for sustainable tourism projects.
