Jem Winston
Jem Winston owns and runs 3 Rivers Eco Lodge in Dominica.
Since beginning the project in 2002, have always worked very closely with the local community.
I have always believed in environmental & Social issues, and since opening 3 Rivers nearly 3 years ago, have attempted to ensure that our negative impact on the local environment is minimal, and that the people in that environment directly benefit from our existence.
In it’s short life, we have achieved Green Globe 21 certification, 3rd place in the International Hotel & Restaurant Association 2004 environmental award, in the top ten environmental best practice websites 2004, 2nd prize in the Eco club Ecolodge project award 2005, and most recently The American Express & Caribbean Hotel Association Caribbean Green Hotel of The Year award, 2005.
