Principal of Pam Wight & Associates, Pam has been consulting since 1974, to aboriginal organisations, private sector, and local to international NGOs and governments. She has worked in every global geo-region, and was a Board member of The International Ecotourism Society. Pam’s work in CBE focuses on participatory involvement and planning, particularly through innovative consultation and employing local people. She has worked in every global geo-region : working with communities around nature reserves in China ; local artists in Mongolia ; indigenous peoples in Siberia developing ethno-tourism ; local children in the Caribbean to obtain young people’s perspectives ; elders and youth in Inuit communities in Canada ; and input from a wide range of stakeholders in Africa, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Greece, or Georgia FSU, as they strive to work towards their future vision. Her aim is to enable practical success through achievable steps and community controls within their political, environmental, cultural, and socio-economic realities.
