Tony Donovan
Tony Donovan works with SNV Netherlands Development Organisation as an eco-tourism advisor in Savannakhet and Houa Phanh Provinces, Lao PDR. Originally from Ireland, he has been working in south-east asia since the beginning of 2002. Prior to SNV Laos, he worked on a tourism training and development project in Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam (Lux-Development), and in management education and training in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (RMIT International University). Before relocating to the region, he gained extensive experience in tourism education and consultancy in Ireland.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Studies at the Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland and the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland and holds a master’s degree from the Faculty of Organisation and Management at Sheffield Hallam University, England.
Tony Donovan travaille à Savannakhet et dans les Provinces Houa Phanh, Lao PDR comme conseiller en écotourisme pour l’Organisation SNV de Développement des Pays-Bas. Originaire d’Irlande, il travaille en Asie du Sud-Est depuis le début de 2002. Avant SNV Laos, il travaillait sur un projet de développement de formation du tourisme dans la province de Thua Thien Hue, au Vietnam (Lux-Development), et dans l’éducation et la formation à la gestion à Ho Chi Minh Ville, Vietnam (Université Internationale RMIT). Avant de s’installer dans la région, il a enrichi son expérience en matière d’éducation et de conseil en tourisme en Irlande.
Il est diplômé de la Faculté de Tourisme et des Etudes Hospitalières des Instituts de Technologie Athlone et Galway-Mayo en Irlande, et possède une maîtrise de la Faculté d’Organisation et de Gestion de l’Université de Sheffield Hallam en Angleterre.
