Sophie Grouwels
Sophie Grouwels is a Forestry Officer, specialized in community-based Forest Enteprise development. She developed the activities of this program, under the umbrella of the Forestry Department of FAO, based on implementation of fieldprojects in Africa, Asia and Latin America during the last 5 years.
Before her work for the FAO at Headquarters in Rome, Italy, she was working during 11 years in projects in Central and South America, mainly focusing on improving rural livelihoods through multi-level participatory capacity building, to enhance sustainable income generation initiatives.
