Hilu Tagoonat
Hilu has been working in Career Development for several years and is completing her studies in this field. Her interests are in the overall wellness of people especially her fellow Inuit. Within a few months she will be resuming her studies in Midwifery in hopes to make a greater contribution to the health of her territory.
Hilu is a member of Nunavut Makitagunarnigit (Nunavut can rise up) Society whose goal is to foster informed public discussion about whether or not uranium mining should be allowed in Nunavut. Hilu lives in Baker Lake, Nunavut.
