Incorporated in December of 1994, the Yukon First Nations Tourism Association is an industry-driven association that is run by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is made up of First Nation Tourism Business owners. The Yukon First Nations Tourism Association is dedicated to promoting and maintaining the cultural integrity of native tourism. The purpose of the program is to aid in developing strong relationships between the YFNTA, the communities, the tourism industry and the government. It is also to assist in the development of Yukon First Nations Tourism products which promote cultural awareness and maintain cultural integrity. This program is intended to represent the interests of YFNTA in its transparency, honesty and integrity. The YFNTA website describes the activities and services that they fourteen First Nations members offer to the association.
