Lombadina is an Aboriginal community located in a tranquil setting just a short distance from the warm blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Once a mission settlement, Lombadina today tells many stories from the pearling days through to the push for and achievement of an independent community.

The Bard Aboriginal people of Lombadina have a strong salt water heritage. They are at home in the open waters, the tidal flats and mangrove creeks. Fish from the sea and crabs from the mud flats remain an important part of local diet.

A visit to Lombadina is a chance to share in local lifestyle and culture. Whether on a day visit or an extended stay, a warm welcome is extended and visitors are able to engage in a range of activities from mud crabbing to guided bush walks and fishing charter. Accommodation includes self contained cabins or budget rooms.
