The mission of the American Indian Alaska Native Toursim Association is to facilitate a network of American Indian tourism interests and cooperatively identify cultural benefits, markets and tourism opportunities in order to enhance tribal business and economic strategies. It is to lead in the education, development, and expansion of American Indian and Alaska Native tourism to honor and sustain tribal traditions and values.

The American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association Resource Center is dedicated to those who offer services to tribes in developing tourism infrastructure. Resources and forms relating to AIANTA and the annual AIANTA Conference are also available on this page.

AIANTA strives to be the national leader in education, development and expansion of American Indian and Native Alaska tourism while honoring and sustaining tribal traditions and values.

Founded in 1999, AIANTA is a nonprofit association of tribes and tribal businesses that has assumed leadership in education, training and technical assistance for Indian Country tourism. By developing and implementing programs and providing opportunities, AIANTA helps tribes build for their future while sustaining and strengthening their cultural legacy.

Tina Osceola is President of the Board of Directors for the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association. An AIANTA member since 2005, she has served as Board Secretary and an At-Large Board Member.

As one of seven Executive Officers for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, she oversees the Tribal Historic Preservation Office, Florida Seminole Tourism, the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum — the nation’s first tribally-governed museum to receive accreditation from the American Association of Museums, and Seminole Heritage Events & Promotions. She is also the Operating Manager for First American Music and Entertainment, a corporation created by the Seminole Tribe of Florida to promote native artists.

Tina serves on other national boards including the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, the U.S. Travel Association and the Southeast Tourism Society. At the state level, she serves as an Ex-Officio board member of Visit Florida. Tina received her Master’s in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University and her B.S. from Rollins College.
